It's the last straw ...

December 1, 2009 - that breaks the camel's back? Well, it might seem funny, but it doesn' t feel that way.

Last Friday I had my last day at work and the Saturday after that we celebrated Dutch Sinterklaas. On Sunday we cleaned out lots of stuff, Monday we sold the car, signed the contract for letting the house and today dealt with the last papers concerning insurance and utilities. Plus we got rid of lots of stuff that were either sold or outdated. But to say it break the camel's back, no not really. The sorting out has a cleansing effect and it feels good being able to finish off in the way we do.

Strange enough, we are finished now (1 day early). Of course we still have a list of things to do, but it's a short list. We have therefore decided to finish off the last things tommorrow (Wednesday) and then go to Schiphol in advance. We have booked a hotel nearby to outsmart the traffic jams and to start our great trip earlier. On our way to a new future.

We'll finish off our last rum/coke now and tommorrow, the great adventure starts. Cheers everyone!
