We´re leaving – on December 3rd !

October 7, 2009 - In the past few weeks, we´ve gathered all possible information and checked close to every possibility for feasibility. December 23rd, the date we have to land in Canada, is drawing closer, so we had set the beginning of October to reach a final conclusion. And the conclusion is : we´re definitely moving to Canada. So we´re not making a two-week vacation return trip only to secure our permanent residency, but we´re making a trip including our belongings for at least 7 months.

So in the past week we have booked our flights for December 3rd, gave notice to quit my job, inquired about a possible rental house and I´m now actively looking for a job. The contacts we´ve made last year, play a crucial part in this decision and we´re glad everyone is still very helpful.

“So you haven´t sold the house yet”, I can hear everybody think. No, that´s correct, which in the worst case means, that on the return date of our ticket (July 2nd, 2010) we have to return to Holland where our patience will be tested once more. But with the developments as they are moving forward now, we hope we´ll be able to cancel our return flight from Canada in the next 6 months.
