Cisco at a birthday party / Find a car

December 19, 2009 - The past couple of days we have gathered information on buying a car (our rental car is due next week). First however, you need to register yourself in order to be able to insure a vehicle. I’ll keep it short: it took us day and a half to get all the paperwork done and then they still would only register me for the time being and do we need to get additional documentation for Ramona. It appears that everybody has had his share of “experiences” with this institution, therefore we try to let go of all our irritations quickly.

Because Cisco has received his first invitation to a birthday party, we are able to combine this Saturday with looking around for cars in Brandon. Cisco his classmate has invited all his guests to come to an arcadehall from 14.30 to 17.00 p.m. where all kinds of games can be played with one type of token (a kind of minicarnival). The machines give out tickets and at the end of your total gaming time you can take all these tickets to the counter and pick out toys for the total number of points you’ve acquired. Plus there are tables and chairs set up where you can eat your own food, cake and sweets with your guests. It was a very new experience for us …

Meanwhile we drive to several cardealers and traders, but can’t succeed. We do receive a lot of information about all the ins and outs, we leave our telephone numbers and will wait for next week to see what comes by. No car so far.
